Visiting the Wellcome Centre for Ethics and Humanities
Information for potential visitors
At the Wellcome Centre for Ethics and Humanities, we have a limited number of visitor spaces available each term. We welcome applications from both students* and academics to visit our Centre.
Visits are usually for a period of one month / four weeks, longer visits may be possible exceptionally. You would be based in our offices at the Big Data Institute. We would also encourage you to give a talk at our weekly seminar series, and/or write a short blog for our website during your visit.
*Please note that the application process for entry to the University for students can take up to three months.
How to apply
To apply to be a visitor, please send the following documents to weh@bdi.ox.ac.uk:
- Completely filled out application form (download the application form here (docx, 292 KB))
- A copy of your CV
- Your research proposal (1 page A4)
All applications will be reviewed quarterly by our Academic Visitor application panel at the Wellcome Centre for Ethics and Humanities and a decision will be communicated in due course.
Due to COVID-19 we have currently suspended all academic visits. We will review the situation in April 2021 and look forward to welcoming visitors again as soon as it is safe to do so.
