In honour of the 1st year anniversary of the General Data Protection Regulation, the GDPR Deletion Poems are back! Rachel Douglas-Jones and Marisa Cohn of the ETHOS Lab, IT University of Copenhagen, took the poems from poetry events in Oxford and Copenhagen in 2018 and selected 20 for printing in a chapbook. Together, the poems cover topics from the data subject to processing, compliance to the data controller.
At this GDPR Poems Chapbook Launch, Calum Docherty, a data protection lawyer at Latham and Watkins will read his commissioned poems, Rachel Douglas-Jones will talk through the process of making the book and its possible uses, and there will be a ceremonial presentation of a large display copy to the library at the Big Data Institute (BDI).
